X12 is memorable. Not many newsletters have a name that sounds like it could be a camera model—M6 (Leica), OM-1 (Olympus), F2 (Nikon). It might not be ultra descriptive, but it has something precise and industrial about it, so you know it's by Factory. Film rolls mostly come in lengths that afford a multiple of 12 exposures—12, 24, or 36 frames can be made on standard rolls of film (or 24, 48 & 72 if shooting half-frame). And since this is a newsletter with a focus on film photography, it fits.
